I went in for Floater Only Vitrectomy (FOV) for a hellish amount floaters in both eyes. Dr. Lazar did a fantastic job getting rid of them. When you are in his exam room he is laser focused. He explains things very thoughtfully and clearly and has a very nice, energetic manner. The first eye went perfectly. The second eye, post surgery, had a residual and very annoying squiggly floater that was waving around in the corner of my field of view. Dr. Lazar took a look and then used an argon laser on the area where this opacity was hanging out. He said that the heat blast from the laser should decimate the floater but it might take a month for it to shrink out of sight... Sure enough, within a month it was gone...I would say, a month after surgery, 99.9% of the junk was gone. There is, in each eye, only one single tiny speck or dot that likes to pop out every once in a while, but it's not even 0.1% of what I had. It's totally negligible. The FOV's were a smashing success. Life changing. Crystal clear vision now. I was also getting cataract surgery done around the same time period and he carefully coordinated my FOV procedure times with the cataract surgery staff so that his surgeries would not create complications with the other procedures I was having. I was able to get an appointment within one day to be seen, the office was unbelievably efficient and friendly. All the prior screening was done over the phone.
